A renovation of the main floor of this private residence turns this traditional style suburban, builder’s house into a transitional style one-of-a-kind home for this semi-retired couple. Included in this project was the split entry, the open living/dining space, the kitchen and the laundry/mudroom. Use of soft hues and a lot of natural light give the spaces a feeling of tranquility, but playing with materials and patterns adds a bit of excitement and flow through the home.
